The Pool
The pool at Korianna House is long enough for proper lengths, deep enough at one end for the children to learn to dive, and positioned so that whether you're swimming or stretched out beside it, the view is the Ionian coastline stretching south to Zakynthos.
The terrace around the pool is generous — sunbeds, umbrellas, an outdoor dining table and a hammock strung between olive trees on the lower terrace. South-facing, so the sun is on the pool from mid-morning until early evening.
By late afternoon the breeze comes up the hill from the sea and the temperature drops to perfect. By 8pm the sun sets directly over the water — the kind of sunset that turns dinner on the terrace into a two-hour event.
